2008 International Dream Room Winner—Commercial Category
The owners wanted to reposition their Santa Barbara Historic District restaurant in a highly competitive market with a new look and menu featuring an eclectic mix of American cuisine. The space was dramatically changed through the use of paint color and new fabrics. The old off-white ceiling and burgundy walls were replaced by a chocolate brown ceiling and creamy beige walls to create a fresh, yet sophisticated backdrop for all other design elements.  The large banquettes and accent chairs were re-upholstered in a contemporary mix of fabrics in muted stripes and circles and radiant blue. Accent pillows and draperies were added in vivid blues and greens.
